Hand sourced in Italy, this Piedmontese writing desk dates to the late 16th century and originates from Torino, Italy. Crafted in walnut, the desk has developed a rich, warm finish over time that highlights the grain and character of the wood.

A single wide drawer with a central escutcheon sits above a shaped apron with a distinctive undulating edge. The base features substantial turned legs joined by a lower stretcher, creating a strong silhouette while showcasing the hand-worked details characteristic of early Italian furniture.

Originally made as a writing desk, its proportions also make it well suited as a console in an entryway, living room, or study. The generous top offers plenty of surface for a lamp, artwork, books, or collected objects.
