Hand-sourced in Italy, this French Louis XVI Style chest is a timeless and elegant piece with a beautifully balanced silhouette. While it clearly reflects the refined character of Louis XVI design, it has a distinct French design influence that sets it apart from the other Louis XVI commodes we have sourced before!

The chest features a classic three-over-two drawer configuration, offering generous storage while maintaining its graceful appearance. Each drawer is adorned with ornate pulls and decorative escutcheons, adding an especially beautiful layer of detail and giving the piece the distinctive character of traditional Louis XVI design.

CONDITION

This piece is in sound condition consistent with its age and use. Natural spacing is present between the wood on the top surface, consistent with the movement of aged wood. Several scratches throughout the piece have been previously repaired and remain visible upon closer inspection adding to the character of the piece.
