Hand sourced in France, this elegant French Louis Philippe commode combines the warmth of richly figured wood with the quiet sophistication of a grey stone top. The generous case is beautifully proportioned, with a drawer directly beneath the stone, three spacious central drawers, and a discreet hidden drawer at the very bottom. The expressive grain throughout the front gives the piece a wonderful sense of depth and movement, while the carved wooden escutcheons add subtle decorative detail and complement the warmth of the wood.

The grey stone top provides a beautiful contrast to the warm tones of the wood and adds a refined, slightly more collected feel to the traditional Louis Philippe form. Its restrained ornamentation and substantial proportions make it a particularly versatile piece, equally at home in a classic European interior or a more relaxed, layered space.

With generous storage and a strong architectural presence, this commode would be beautiful in a bedroom, living room, or entryway. Style it beneath a mirror or artwork, as shown, or let the generous stone surface serve as a foundation for lamps, books, and collected objects.

Tassels not included.
