This pair is in sound condition consistent with age and use. There are chips to the gilding along the bottom of the left mirror, with patterned impressions visible in the gilding of both frames. The original mirror glass exhibits age-related spotting and glittering. The right mirror has a wooden riser added to its base, historically used to support the mirror in an upright position behind a Louis Philippe chest. This adds approximately one inch to its overall height and could be trimmed or removed to match the height of the left mirror. Previous repairs and minor cracks are present in the upper gilding of both mirrors, as photographed.
