I bought this French Louis XVI in the South of France last summer and RAN to the vendor’s stall when I spotted him! His finish is showstopping.
While the French Louis XVI style is usually quite feminine - this guy has many of the style’s original characteristics while still exuding a masculine appeal: a squared edge white marble top, bold shield escutcheons, square pulls, and chunky tapered legs.
As I was styling him for photos, my brother-in-law (a whiskey connoisseur) walked in the room and commented what an incredible piece he’d make for a small whiskey bar. You could place bottles on the top and store glassware in the drawers. Brilliant!
He has three drawers, all sliding well, with dovetail construction. A key is sold with the piece so you can hang a tassel.
