Framed French Painting of Provence

Hand-sourced in France, this original painting captures the kind of landscape that keeps pulling me back to Provence year after year. Rolling hills, cypress trees, soft light, and that hazy palette that feels distinctly Provencal—it immediately transports you there.

I found this piece while sourcing abroad and loved how it balances color and restraint. The brushwork has movement without feeling overly formal, and the muted greens, blues, and warm earth tones make it incredibly easy to live with. The gilt frame gives it a more finished presence while still letting the painting remain the focal point.

Original European art is one of my favorite things to bring home because it adds something reproductions simply can’t—real history, texture, and a sense of place. This would be beautiful layered on a bookshelf, styled atop a commode, or hung in a collected gallery wall.
