Hand sourced in France, this Louis XVI commode has the prettiest warm wood tones paired with a gray stone top. The classic three-drawer shape is finished with fluted columns, tapered legs, delicate contrasting borders, and simple brass hardware.

We love the beautiful grain of the wood and the contrast of the cool gray marble against the warmer finish. It’s an incredibly versatile piece that could work just as easily in a bedroom as a dresser, in an entry beneath a mirror, or in a living room with a pair of lamps and artwork above.

The three drawers offer plenty of practical storage, while the stone top makes it a great piece for everyday use. A beautiful, classic French commode that adds just the right amount of age and character to a room.

CONDITION

Good antique condition consistent with age and use. There is some separation to the trim on the right side, very minor chipping to the marble along the right edge, and a chip to the brass toupie on the front right leg, as photographed.
