WHAT A FIND!!! These have become VERY challenging to source, I was thrilled to have snagged two on my last trip to England.
These vintage match strikers date to the late 19th or early 20th century. Originally designed to hold and strike matches, it now makes for a perfect decorative accent on a bar cart, mantel, or side table.
The ribbed glass body gives texture for striking (with strike anywhere matches), while the gold rim adds just the right amount of shine. It’s compact but weighty!
A great gift or conversation starter, this piece is a classic example of Victorian utility meeting simple beauty. Whether you actually strike matches with it or just love the way it looks, it’s an easy win for adding charm to a space.
