Grey French Finial Pediment

Hand sourced in Europe, this charming French painted pediment brings a lovely sense of architectural character and old-world detail to a space. The carved wood form features sweeping scrolls at either side, centered by a raised decorative finial and framed by understated carved accents. Finished in a soft blue-grey paint with touches of the underlying wood showing through, the piece has a beautifully aged, timeworn appearance.

The simpler carving gives this pediment a more relaxed elegance, while the curved silhouette and sculptural center make it an eye-catching architectural accent. Its softly weathered finish adds to its collected European character and allows it to work beautifully with both traditional and more casually layered interiors.

Displayed above a doorway, fireplace, cabinet, or bed, this pediment would add an instant layer of French architectural charm. It could also be mounted directly to a wall or styled behind a chest as a unique piece of decorative art.
