What a classic beauty! Hand sourced in Belgium from the most wonderful family dealers, this 18th-century English secretary has a warm, timeworn finish and great everyday function.

The slant-front opens to a useful writing surface, revealing six small interior drawers, several storage cubbies, and a hidden pocket—offering plenty of practical storage. 

The wood has a rich, aged tone with natural variation, and the brass swan-neck hardware adds a simple, traditional touch. It feels substantial without being too heavy, making it easy to place in a variety of spaces.

Works well in a living room, bedroom, or entry—styled with a lamp, a stack of books, or a few specially collected items on top. A practical piece that also brings in that simple, classic English character!

CONDITION

Good sturdy condition consistent with age and use. The piece shows surface wear and finish variation, with a natural patina to the brass hardware. The drawers and slant-front function properly, and the piece remains solid and usable. Small piece of exterior wood formerly repaired from the left pull support. Note the presence of formerly filled holes where support pulls used to exist on the sides, as photographed.
